Rome Floyd NAACP
The NAACP, or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is one of the oldest and most influential civil rights organizations in the United States. It was founded in 1909 with the mission of ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all persons and eliminating race-based discrimination. The NAACP has historically fought against segregation, lynching, and other forms of racial injustice through legal action, advocacy, and grassroots mobilization. Today, it continues to work towards racial equality and social justice through initiatives such as voter education, criminal justice reform, and economic empowerment programs.

Our Mission
The mission of the NAACP, or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. The organization works towards achieving its mission through advocacy, litigation, education, and community mobilization to address systemic injustices and promote civil rights and social justice for all individuals, regardless of race or ethnicity.

Larry Morrow Sr. is a dedicated community leader who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Mr. Morrow is involved with several other community organizations such as the 100 Black Men of Rome and is dedicated to building up young men in our community.

Jackie Jenkins plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our local chapter. Secretary Jenkins also serves as the Georgia State NAACP Secretary while also serving on several other community boards. She is committed to racial equality and unity.
